“Never stop learning” is a famous mantra of Bill Gates. Throughout his career, Mr. Gates has attributed much of his success to his continued hunger for learning. Emerging technologies such as positioning and construction machine control require such hunger. This technology lives outside the bounds of the proverbial “box” replacing core traditional methods. The reward for continued learning is faster, more accurate and profitable projects.

I am no Bill Gates but I do agree that learning keeps my life fresh with its challenges and achievements. For example, I have spent the last two years learning and working on video techniques and post production of video material for many reasons. But one is that these skills offer me a great tool for communicating the power and benefits positioning technology. I just attended a four day Film School Boot Camp in Washingtion, DC that was wonderfully valuable. I am far from proficient and far from the level of expertise I seek, but I do hunger for the knowledge and skills that hopefully will take me to the next level.
