Landfill GPS Compaction Systems - Is a Government (EPA) Mandate on the Way?

Given the benefits of GPS Machine Control for Landfill compactors, the connected site monitoring density in real time and all the other benefits, one has to wonder,  “Is a government mandate requiring these systems on the way?”

We are hearing testimonials that these GPS Machine Control systems specifically written for density, compaction, pass counts with all the office analysis reporting is making a huge impact in the landfill industry. One manager mentioned that their landfill life was extended by 3 years, a direct result of the technology. With the current administration boasting Green, a government mandate may be forthcoming.
